Understanding Tokens
Tokens are how Versizo tracks your AI design generations. Each token lets you generate one AI design, whether that's a room redesign, a text-to-image creation, or a concept brief in the Concept Builder. Think of them as the fuel that powers the AI.
What Costs a Token?
Every AI generation costs exactly 1 token. That includes:
- All Playground generations (Indoor, Outdoor, and Holiday Decorations tabs)
- Concept Builder generations
- AI-generated design briefs
Everything else is free. Browsing your designs, saving them to projects, organising them by room or client, downloading them, sharing them, and editing your account settings: none of that costs a token. You only spend a token when the AI does new work for you.

How Token Renewal Works
This is the part that surprises some people in the best way: on paid plans, your unused tokens carry over. They don't reset to zero each month.
Here's exactly how it works on Pro and Business plans:
- Your tokens top up every month on your billing date. They don't reset.
- The top-up brings you back up to your monthly allocation, not over it.
- If you have less than your allocation, you get the difference. Example: you're on Pro (50 tokens / month) and you have 12 tokens left at billing time. You'll be topped up to 50, so 38 new tokens are added.
- If you have more than your allocation, nothing happens. Example: you bought extra tokens or barely used last month's, and now you have 75 tokens on Pro. Your balance stays at 75. The renewal doesn't reduce your tokens.
- Unused tokens never expire on a paid plan. They carry over month after month indefinitely.
Free plan tokens work differently. They're a one-time grant of 3 tokens when you sign up, and they don't renew. Once they're used, the only way to get more is to upgrade.
Your tokens carry over! If you don't use all 50 Pro tokens this month, they're still there next month. The renewal just tops you back up to your allocation. It never takes tokens away.
Free plan tokens don't renew. Once your 3 starter tokens are used, you'll need to upgrade to Pro or Business to keep generating. You can upgrade in seconds from Settings -> Plan.
Upgrading and Downgrading
You can change your plan any time from Settings -> Plan. All payments are handled securely through Stripe. Versizo never sees your card details.
Upgrading takes effect immediately. The moment you confirm payment, your new token allocation lands in your account and all paid features unlock.
Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep your paid features and your unused tokens until that date arrives. After the downgrade, you keep any tokens you'd already accumulated, but you won't receive future top-ups at the higher tier.
Cancelling works the same way as downgrading to Free. You keep access until the end of the billing period, then drop to Free. Any tokens you'd saved up stay in your account, but you won't receive any new top-ups.
